We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our technical team. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical systems and equipment across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continued safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities For The Electrician Jobs at PepsiCo

  • Install, maintain, and repair fuse boxes, electrical circuits, and complex wiring systems in compliance with safety and technical standards.

  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on fuse boxes, electrical panels, circuits, and wiring systems to ensure functionality and safety.

  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical diagrams to accurately perform installations or modifications.

  • Demonstrate strong electrical fault-finding skills, using both manual and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.

  • Perform unsupervised installations, commissioning, and refurbishments of new or existing electrical equipment, ensuring high standards of workmanship.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and maintain plant efficiency.

  • Perform pneumatic system repairs where applicable, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

  • Utilize knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to install, troubleshoot, and rectify faults in automated systems.

  • Maintain accurate service records, complete job cards, and report all faults or incidents promptly.

  • Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and company policies during all tasks.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

  • A Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered an advantage

  • NQF Level 3 Trade Test – Electrician certification (essential)

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience working as a qualified artisan in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated experience with fault finding, PLCs, and industrial electrical systems

  • A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving capabilities
