 Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Auto Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out auto-electrical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on earthmoving equipment both in workshops and on customer sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality service while maintaining safety and professionalism.
 Key Outputs & Responsibilities For The Electrician Light Current x2

Perform auto-electrical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty earthmoving equipment.

Remove, install, and test auto-electrical components.

Diagnose electrical faults and complete first-level inspections.

Provide rapid response to customer breakdowns and minimize downtime.

Ensure safe work practices at all times in line with company SHEQ standards.

Compile accurate customer service reports and ensure proper documentation.

Manage personal admin effectively (labour bookings, service reports, part returns, expenses).

Maintain a professional image when representing the company on customer sites.

Take ownership of own performance, time management, and service delivery.

Control contamination and maintain cleanliness standards in all work areas.

Maintain and care for field service vehicles and equipment.
 Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Qualified Auto Electrician (trade test essential).

Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery and auto-electrical systems.

Applicable product knowledge of heavy-duty equipment (mining, construction, or industrial machinery).

Valid Driver’s Licence – Code B.

Field service experience in a mining or heavy equipment environment is advantageous.
