Applicants are invited to apply for the Engineering Technician Learnership Program
 Job Purpose
To receive comprehensive theoretical and practical training in order to become a competent and certified Engineering Technician, working on cutting-edge systems that support South Africa’s air navigation services.
 Key Responsibilities:

Learn and apply maintenance procedures on communication, navigation, and surveillance systems as per Logistic Support Plans and OEM specifications.

Assist with general site upkeep including buildings, roads, fencing, antenna masts, and power infrastructure.
-
Ensure practical competence on required systems per Technical Skills Matrix and station-specific requirements.
-
Understand and support Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within designated areas.

Assist qualified technicians with hands-on repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
 Skills & Competencies:
-
Efficient in Electronic Equipment Assembly
-
Dexterity and precision with electronic components
-
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to read, interpret, and draw electronic circuit diagrams
-
Proficient in circuit board assembly and repairs
-
Use of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
-
Excellent color vision for component identification
-
Physically agile and fit to work outdoors
-
Ability to operate a 4×4 vehicle in rugged conditions
-
Computer literate (MS Office, basic networking tools)
-
Report writing and documentation
-
High level of problem-solving and analytical thinking
 Minimum Requirements For The Engineering Technician Learnership Program:

S4 National Diploma in Light Current Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification
-
Willingness to work under varied environmental conditions and travel as needed
