We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our production and engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is mechanically inclined, hands-on, and passionate about maintaining production excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 Purpose of the Role

The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment as per the Maintenance Schedule. This role also involves supervising and managing Maintenance Assistants, ensuring smooth plant operations and optimal equipment uptime.


 Key Responsibilities

 Maintenance Operations

  • Perform maintenance tasks on production machinery in accordance with the scheduled maintenance plan.

  • Record and document all maintenance and repair work completed.

  • Reassemble machines after repairs and ensure full functionality.

  • Monitor mechanical operations and proactively identify and resolve faults.

  • Supervise Maintenance Assistants: delegate tasks, guide, and oversee execution of maintenance duties.

Maintenance Planning

  • Coordinate with the Mechanical Foreman to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.

  • Source and prepare necessary tools, spare parts, and materials prior to performing maintenance.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and functional.

  • Adhere to strict quality standards during all maintenance operations.


 Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Qualified Trade Tested Fitter certification is mandatory

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production or maintenance environment

  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks

  • Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting methods
