As a manufacturer in the rail sector, Gibela is committed to uplifting communities through technical skills development, engineering education, and career exposure in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).
Through the Make A Difference campaign, Gibela collaborates with schools, educators, and government to close the artisan skills gap and build a stronger, employable workforce.

We are calling all passionate, technically minded youth to apply for artisan training in the following fields:

Fitter & Turner

Diesel Locomotive Maintenance

Electrical Traction Systems

Welding & Fabrication

Millwright

Boilermaker

Electrician

Diesel Mechanic
 Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the Gibela Artisan Training Programme, you must:

Be a South African citizen aged 18–35 years
-
Have Matric / Grade 12 or NCV Level 4 (from a TVET college)

Have a strong interest in technical trades and engineering

Be currently employed (for upskilling) or seeking workplace-integrated learning
