About the Role

Motus Hino Parow has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Level 1. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is ideal for someone passionate about repairing commercial motor vehicles and aspiring to become a qualified Diesel Mechanic Technician. The successful candidate must be willing to complete a structured Apprenticeship Training Programme over a period of up to three years.

Key Responsibilities For The Applicants are invited to apply for the Hino Trucks 2025 Apprenticeship Program

As an Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Assisting Technicians in the repair and maintenance of vehicles

• Removing and replacing parts or units from vehicles under supervision

• Jacking up vehicles and placing them on trestles

• Lubricating components and changing oils in line with manufacturer specifications

• Removing and fitting air and oil filters

• Removing and replacing wheels and batteries

• Cleaning vehicle parts and maintaining workshop cleanliness

• Performing general housekeeping duties in the work area

• Attending technical training courses as prescribed

• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

• Following all safety rules and procedures

• Performing any other reasonable duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science

• A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

• Clear criminal record

Skills and Attributes

• Basic technical aptitude or mechanical understanding is an advantage

• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn

• Customer-oriented mindset

• Responsible, punctual, and committed to completing the apprenticeship
