About the Opportunity

As an Engineer in Training (EIT) – also known as a Student Support Engineer (SSE) – you will gain hands-on experience in the Transformer Tendering and Sales environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals while undergoing technical training and real-world project assignments related to transformer technology, sales, and customer engagement.

 What You’ll Learn and Do

• Gain comprehensive training on Transformer basics, including online modules and real-time product exposure.

• Receive focused training on Transformer components, accessories, and services.

• Learn and participate in the Tendering process, from reviewing RFQs (Request for Quotations) to developing competitive offers.

• Execute a complete RFQ cycle, under guidance, from start to finish.

• Provide customer support, helping ensure productive and courteous client interactions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project and sales targets.

• Live and uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety, integrity, and innovation.

 Minimum Requirements For The Hitachi 2025 Engineer in Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

• Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Analytical skills and the ability to read and understand technical documentation

• A proactive attitude toward problem-solving, flexibility, and adaptability

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Interest or background in transformers, high-voltage substations, or electrical grid infrastructure is an advantage
