Key Responsibilities of the HVAC Assistant:

Assist with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repairs

Ensure health and safety standards are always met on-site

Help prepare tools, materials, and work areas for technicians

Perform routine preventative maintenance under supervision

Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, and job sites (housekeeping duties)

Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from senior technicians

Provide general support in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
Minimum Requirements For The HVAC Assistant Job Opportunity At SFI Group

Matric / Grade 12 certificate (Required)

2 years’ experience in the HVAC or related technical environment (Advantageous)

Valid Driver’s License (Preferred but not essential)

N1 – N4 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Beneficial)

Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
