 About the Programme

John Thompson, a leading manufacturer of industrial and water tube boilers and a service provider for utility boilers, is offering a 12-month P1 & P2 in-service training programme. This opportunity is designed for Mechanical Engineering S4 students seeking to complete their National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects.

  • Technical Analysis: Conduct site visits, inspections, and data collection.

  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and project managers.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.


 Minimum Qualifications For John Thompson P1 And P2 In-Service Training

  • Education: Completed S4 in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant qualification with a minimum 50% grade average.

  • Experience: No prior experience required; training will be provided.


 Important Notes

  • Residency: Only candidates residing in the Lekwa Municipality and surrounding areas are eligible to apply.

  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit for relevant trades and willing to undergo medical examinations, including alcohol and drug testing, as well as training for working at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to relocate if required for further practical exposure.

  • Documentation: Applications must include a cover letter, current CV, certified qualifications and statement of results, certified ID copy, proof of residence, and a police clearance certificate (not older than 12 months or proof of application).
