Minimum Requirements For the Komatsu 2026 Apprentice Millwright

Grade 12 (N3) with Mathematics
-
Must reside in Germiston or surrounding areas
-
Currently unemployed
Candidates must have successfully completed the following on NQF Level 4:
-
Mathematics / Technical Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)

Physical Science / Technical Science
-
N3 Electrical/Fitter Trade Theory and/or
-
N3 Mechanotechnology
-
Engineering Graphics and Design
Job Responsibilities
As an Apprentice, you will:
-
Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of technical modules and processes under the guidance of skilled staff

Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge independently and within a team as training progresses
-
Successfully complete merSETA modules throughout the program (theoretical and practical)
-
Learn and follow Health & Safety standards in the workshop
-
Maintain and repair workshop equipment
-
Keep a detailed logbook of projects and skills acquired
-
Uphold good housekeeping practices in the workplace
-
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
-
Perform any other duties relevant to the apprenticeship role
