Komatsu South Africa is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Artisan Assistant to join our dynamic team in eMalahleni. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for heavy earthmoving machinery and want to grow in a technical environment.

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4) with technical subjects

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a general workshop or technical environment (advantageous)

• Basic knowledge of workshop tools and machine repairs

Additional Knowledge & Requirements:

• Forklift, crane, or welding certificates (advantageous)

• Code 8 valid driver’s license (essential)

• Code 14 license (advantageous)

• Basic understanding of the Health and Safety Act (SHE)

• Fluent in English (read, write, and speak)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Enthusiasm for heavy earthmoving machinery

Key Responsibilities For The Komatsu South Africa Artisan Assistant

• Assist with machine/component assembly and disassembly

• Perform cleaning of components/machines

• Support basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks

• Operate Komatsu service vehicle and machinery

• Provide support to the artisan in all daily duties

• Work overtime, standby, and travel when required

• Ensure safety compliance during all tasks

• Maintain familiarity with basic tools and their usage

• Display ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
