We are offering an opportunity to train as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice Technician within a well-established engineering facility. Key Responsibilities For The Mechanical Engineering Apprentice Technician

Observe and learn a wide range of mechanical engineering skills under the guidance of experienced technical staff.

Demonstrate increasing independence and competence in applying engineering skills and processes.

Successfully complete relevant college coursework to achieve progression toward a qualification in mechanical engineering.

Understand and apply health and safety procedures within the workspace.

Develop the ability to construct or modify apparatus and instruments from technical drawings or verbal instructions.

Learn to maintain and repair workshop equipment to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain a detailed logbook of tasks, skills acquired, and projects completed throughout the apprenticeship.

Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the workshop and laboratory areas.

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role and level of training.
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

Previous experience in the engineering or steel industry is advantageous.
