MKRI is responsible for:

During the 24-month programme, the selected candidate will work within the instituteโs communications team and assist in producing multimedia content that supports the organisationโs communication and branding strategies.
The role provides exposure to:
Professional videography production
Editing and post-production workflows
Visual storytelling for research communication

Social media and multimedia publishing
Learners will gain hands-on experience working with professional video equipment, editing tools, and digital communication platforms while supporting real institutional projects.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
A minimum NQF Level 7 qualification in Videography, Applied Arts in Screen Arts and Technology, or a related field
Between 0 and 2 years of experience in videography, video editing, or multimedia production
A valid driverโs license will be an added advantage

Travelling to MKRI events across KwaZulu-Natal
Filming conferences, workshops, and public engagements
Producing video highlights and documentation of key events
Editing video footage using professional editing software
