Job Overview

Motus Toyota Nelspruit has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Motor Mechanic (Level 1). This role is perfect for a motivated individual with a passion for automotive mechanics and a desire to build a career in the motor industry. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and participate in a structured Apprenticeship Training Programme, gaining hands-on experience and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities For The Motus Toyota Apprentice Level 1

• Assist qualified technicians with mechanical repairs and vehicle servicing tasks

• Remove and replace vehicle components such as batteries, filters, and wheels

• Lubricate vehicle systems and perform oil changes under supervision

• Support technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults

• Participate in scheduled training sessions and attend prescribed technical courses

• Maintain cleanliness of workshop, tools, and equipment

• Adhere strictly to health and safety standards in the workshop

• Follow workshop policies and procedures regarding the handling of parts and tools

• Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized work environment

• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Service Manager or mentor technician

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science

• Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in or holding a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification

• A valid South African driver’s license is advantageous

• Must have a clear criminal record

• Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn a technical trade
