Job Summary

NBI is offering an exciting Apprenticeship in Instrumentation for motivated individuals who are eager to develop their technical skills in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of plant equipment and utilities that support pharmaceutical production — ensuring operational reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities For The NBI 2025 Apprentice Instrumentation

Maintenance & Operations

  • Support GMP-compliant manufacturing by maintaining maximum uptime of process utility services.

  • Learn and perform routine maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.

  • Conduct daily checks on plant machines and supporting systems.

  • Assist with equipment repairs, identify causes of failures, and help implement preventive actions.

  • Coordinate and support maintenance activities across departments.

Calibration & Compliance

  • Assist in calibration of measuring and control instruments according to defined schedules.

  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation for plant and equipment.

  • Learn to analyze maintenance issues, recommend repairs, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Projects & Technical Support

  • Participate in CAPEX and process improvement projects.

  • Provide technical support for commissioning of new equipment and process systems.

  • Support the implementation of SAP change notifications and documentation updates.

  • Engage with third-party contractors for specialized repairs when required.

Stock & Documentation

  • Assist in creating and maintaining spares inventory and conducting routine stock takes.

  • Contribute to technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and maintenance records.


Minimum Requirements

  • N6 or S4 Electrical Engineering (Light Current) qualification.

  • Basic understanding of instrumentation principles, process control, and electrical systems.

  • Willingness and ability to learn hands-on technical skills in a regulated manufacturing setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and compliance procedures.
