Job Overview For Office Cleaner Vacancy AVBOB

AVBOB is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Cleaner to ensure that its office environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily office operations by ensuring that all areas are clean, organised, and presentable at all times. This includes maintaining workspaces, restrooms, kitchen areas, and common areas to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.

Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and General Housekeeping

• Perform daily cleaning of office spaces to maintain high hygiene standards
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors to ensure cleanliness
• Dust office furniture, equipment, and decorative items such as plants and flowers
• Ensure all work areas are neat, organised, and free from dust and dirt

Restroom Cleaning and Maintenance

• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins, sinks, and mirrors
• Ensure restrooms are hygienic, fresh, and well-maintained at all times
• Regularly check and replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels

Kitchen and Refreshment Area Duties

• Prepare tea and coffee for staff when required
• Wash dishes, cups, and utensils after use
• Clean kitchen surfaces, sinks, and appliances
• Refill tea and coffee dispensers as well as water coolers
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen and break areas

Waste Management

• Empty waste bins daily and ensure proper disposal of waste
• Clean waste bins and maintain hygiene in waste disposal areas
• Follow company procedures for waste management

Additional Cleaning Tasks

• Clean office windows, glass surfaces, and doors
• Maintain cleanliness in all shared and high-traffic areas
• Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as required by management

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Minimum Grade 10

Experience

• Previous cleaning experience in an office or similar environment will be advantageous
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and materials is beneficial

Skills and Competencies

• Basic communication skills in English
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues professionally
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness
