Job Summary

PG Bison is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrician to join our Ugie Board Plant team. The ideal candidate will:

• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Have practical knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens).

• Understand frequency drives (Allen Bradley and SEW).

• Be competent in conducting electrical inspections, repairs, installations, and issuing Certificates of Compliance (CoCs).

We’re looking for an individual with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to PG Bison’s vision, values, and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements For The PG Bison Artisan Electrician

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Minimum N3 Electrical Engineering qualification

• Recognised Electrical Trade Test

• Wireman’s Licence (advantageous)

• At least 5 years’ post-Trade Test experience as an Electrician

• Manufacturing environment experience (advantageous)

• Computer literacy with strong interpersonal and communication skills

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical equipment.

• Update and maintain base documentation (manuals, P&ID, instrumentation drawings).

• Identify and report potential health and safety hazards to the Team Leader.

• Conduct shift work on the plant when required.

• Maintain compliance with OHASA standards and ensure excellent housekeeping.

• Provide after-hour standby duty support as needed.
