Minimum Requirements For The Premier 2025 Apprentice ProgramÂ
To qualify for the Millwright Apprenticeship, applicants must have:

N2 Certificate with at least four trade-related subjects:

Engineering Mathematics
-
Engineering Science
-
Electrical Trade Theory (advantageous)

Mechanical Trade Theory
-
Mechanical & Electrical Drawings
-
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
An N3 Certificate in Engineering Studies will be an added advantage

Prior work experience in a mechanical/electrical environment is beneficial but not essential
Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes
During the 3-year apprenticeship, you will:

Receive theoretical training through an accredited learning institution

Participate in hands-on, real-world maintenance and production line tasks

Work under the guidance of qualified Millwright Artisans and Engineers

Learn how to install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
-
Rotate through various production areas to gain holistic technical exposure
-
Be required to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays during certain phases
