Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Artisan Assistant to provide daily support to the Artisan in performing maintenance work. The successful candidate will assist with general repairs, inspections, and upkeep of machinery and equipment while ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements For Rand Water Electrical Artisan Assistant 

• Matric (Grade 12) essential.

• N3 qualification (advantageous but not essential).

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar maintenance or workshop environment.

• Basic knowledge of minor electrical repairs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Artisan and Workshop Assistant with maintenance and repair tasks.

• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from work areas as required.

• Clean machines and work areas upon completion of tasks.

• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure all tools are properly stored.

• Adhere to safe work procedures and company safety policies.

• Conduct routine plant inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment defects to the Supervisor or Artisan.

• Collect and deliver spare parts or tools from the store when required.

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of safety principles in a workshop or plant environment.

• Familiarity with tools and their uses.

• Knowledge of safe working procedures and maintenance practices.
