Applicants are invited to apply for the Rand Water Mechanical Artisan Assistant
The successful candidate will assist the Artisan in performing daily maintenance tasks. This includes executing reasonable instructions safely, maintaining a clean working environment, and supporting technical operations as required.
Grade 12 / N3 in Mechanical Engineering.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (added advantage).
Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a similar environment.
Code 8 or 10 Driver’s License (added advantage).
Care for and maintain tools and materials.
Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Clean tools and equipment obtained from the maintenance tool store.
Erect scaffolding and ladders when required.
Provide general assistance (drilling, grinding, holding, supporting, pushing, and pulling within safety limits).
Prepare and paint equipment as per request.
Perform digging and similar manual tasks as required.
Basic safety practices.
Basic tool recognition and understanding of tool use.
Good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Teamwork and quality orientation.
Self-discipline, punctuality, and customer focus.
Reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
Demonstrates good interpersonal and human relations skills.
