RCL FOODS Sugar is offering an exciting apprenticeship programme at its Mount Edgecombe operations and invites young, motivated, and self-driven individuals to apply. This is a hands-on engineering apprenticeship designed to develop future talent in the sugar manufacturing sector.
Programme Overview
-
Formal institutional training at the Industrial Training Centre (RC), Mount Edgecombe — ±20 weeks
-
Practical workplace exposure & factory training during operations and off-crop periods — ±29 weeks
-
Annual Mini Trade Tests to assess progress and continuation in the programme

Final National Trade Test on completion, leading to a nationally recognised artisan qualification

Fixed-term apprenticeship contracts, renewable based on performance and progress
Minimum Entry Requirements For The RCL FOODS 2026 apprenticeship program
To qualify, applicants must have Grade 12 with a minimum N3 or NCV Level 4.
N4 or higher will be an added advantage.
