Purpose of the Job

Join our exciting 12-month Learnership Programme aimed at developing the next generation of professionals in the Human Resources (HR) and administrative support fields. This programme provides a blend of theoretical learningand practical workplace experience, perfect for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in business operations and office support.

This learnership is ideal for unemployed South African youth with a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification and a passion for learning and professional development.


About the Learnership

The programme includes:

  • Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)

  • Accreditation: NQF-aligned theoretical training + practical work experience

  • Location: [Insert Region or Branch Name]

  • Stipend: A monthly allowance will be provided


Theoretical Component Covers:

  • Entrepreneurship and Business Operations

  • Customer Service Principles

  • Business Accounting and Financial Basics

  • Maths Literacy and Numerical Skills

  • Communication and Workplace Literacy

  • Basic Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Email)


Practical Component Includes:

  • Providing administrative support to various departments

  • Assisting HR teams and business units with day-to-day operations

  • Preparing for future entry-level roles in HR, Admin, or Office Support

  • Developing professional work readiness and soft skills


Minimum Requirements For The Sasol 2026 Learnership Program 

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate

  • Must be currently unemployed and available for 12 months

  • Must be a South African citizen, aged 18–35

  • No prior full-time work experience required

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent will be an added advantage


Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong analytical skills (ability to interpret and use data)

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Basic business acumen and interest in HR practices

  • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Professional attitude, teamwork and willingness to learn
