Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and technically inclined individual to join our maintenance team as a. In this role, you will support qualified electricians and artisans in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about electrical and mechanical work and looking to expand their practical knowledge in a high-performance, safety-focused environment.

 Key Duties & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting artisans with scheduled and planned preventative maintenance

• Supporting reactive maintenance activities during unexpected breakdowns

• Participating in pre-season inspections to ensure all equipment is in working order

• Assisting in the execution of capital projects and upgrades to improve plant performance

• Adhering to and promoting occupational health and safety (OHS) protocols

• Performing basic administrative tasks, such as logging maintenance records and reporting faults

• Supporting team leadership and supervision of artisan assistants where required, including coaching and mentoring

 Minimum Requirements For The Senwes Electrical Artisan Position

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Education & Certification:

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)

• N3 Certificate in Electrical Engineering

• Wireman’s License (Certificate of Compliance – CoC)

Experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant post-apprenticeship experience as an Electrician or Mechanical Assistant in an industrial or manufacturing setting

 Key Skills & Competencies
