About the Learnership Opportunity

Siemens Mobility is inviting recent matriculants and young South Africans to apply for the Commercial Advancement Training Scheme (CATS) — an 18-month learnership program designed to equip participants with practical workplace experience and a recognized business qualification in Office Administration (NQF Level 5).

Learners will gain real-world exposure to the commercial and financial aspects of a leading global engineering company while studying part-time through accredited training partners.

This learnership provides a foundation for a long-term career in finance, business administration, or commercial operations within the engineering and technology sector.

During the learnership, participants will:

  • Perform standardised administrative and financial support tasks under supervision.

  • Assist with data management, document control, and financial reporting.

  • Support various departments and projects across Siemens offices and project sites.

  • Participate in practical learning, workshops, and mentoring sessions led by experienced professionals.

  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and self-development.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Pure Mathematics and Accounting, minimum 65% aggregate in both subjects.

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook essential).

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and accountability.

  • Willingness to study part-time toward the ICB Office Administration NQF Level 5 qualification.

  • Must be able to travel to and from Northriding, Johannesburg, and surrounding Siemens project sites.

  • A genuine interest in Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance.
