Triton Academy is inviting applications from motivated and committed individuals to participate in its 12-month National Certificate: Freight Handling Learnership. This programme is designed to empower unemployed South African youth through structured training and hands-on experience within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities (Training Activities):

Load and off-load goods from vehicles
-
Prepare vehicles for trips

Receive, dispatch, and handle freight documentation

Perform ancillary warehouse and transport-related tasks
-
Deliver and collect goods and stock
-
Maintain general housekeeping and clean workspaces

Pick and pack stock accurately
-
Receive incoming stock and verify against documentation
-
Ensure goods are stacked and secured properly for safe transport
Learning & Development:
-
Structured theoretical training aligned with unit standards

Workplace practical experience and professional mentorship
-
Assessment preparation for external verification
Minimum Requirements For The Triton 2026 Learnership Programme

South African citizen
-
Age: 23 – 35 years
-
Education: Matric (Grade 12), TVET N3, or NQF Level 3

Minimum marks: At least 40% in English and Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy

Employment status: Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any studies

Residency: Must reside in one of the specified areas within Port Elizabeth
-
Medical fitness: Must be medically fit for physical work

Language: Able to read, write, and communicate in English

Numeracy: Basic numerical literacy

Availability: Must be able to work shifts and weekends

Criminal Record: Must have a clear criminal record

Transport: Must have reliable transport
