About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice / Learner to join our team. This opportunity provides hands-on training in electrical maintenance, installations, testing, and fault finding, while working under the supervision of qualified electricians. The role is designed to help you build practical skills, ensure workplace safety, and gain exposure to the electrical trade.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Apprentice, your duties will include:

Assisting with wiring, connections, and installations of electrical equipment and control systems

Supporting testing, inspecting, and commissioning of electrical installations

Observing and assisting qualified electricians in maintenance and fault-finding processes
-
Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Participating in the preparation and planning of electrical work activities

Gaining exposure to construction support tasks, including assisting with basic structural repairs
Minimum Requirements For The V&A Waterfront Electrical Apprentice

Grade 12 / N3 or equivalent (advantageous)

3–6 months’ experience in an electrical environment

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and work independently or in a team

Willingness to commit to a 6-month programme

Understanding of safety protocols in the workplace
