Packaging Learner Job Opportunity at Heineken International B.V. – Johannesburg, Gauteng
Position Overview:
Heineken International B.V. is offering an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Learner in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This position provides practical work experience for students who have completed their Grade 12 or relevant N qualification and are seeking exposure in a work environment within the FMCG industry. The 12-month contract will run from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Packaging Learner, you will gain hands-on experience in the following key processes:
Filling and Date Coding
Sealing
Packing and Unpacking
Labelling
First-line maintenance
Problem-solving using advanced techniques
Quality control for all mentioned processes
Asset management and equipment handling
Health and safety regulations compliance
By the end of the program, you will demonstrate competence and understanding in the operation of the above processes, making you ready to contribute effectively in an FMCG production environment.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Packaging Learner position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
South African citizen
Minimum qualification of Matric/Grade 12, or equivalent N qualification, with a focus on Pure Mathematics and English
Preference given to candidates with a tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Strong technical orientation with the ability to focus on mechanical and technical tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of safe working procedures and the ability to work under pressure
Shift work and extended hours may be required
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a formal assessment
