Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Wiring

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints

  • Perform accurate wiring and cable routing within electrical control panels

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations

2. Control Panel Assembly

  • Assemble and mount electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, and switchgear

  • Use hand and power tools to fasten components to back panels and enclosures

  • Label all wires and components clearly for traceability and maintenance

3. Testing and Diagnostics

  • Conduct functional testing of assembled panels using appropriate testing equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.)

  • Detect faults or irregularities during testing and resolve them efficiently

  • Verify final panel quality before handover or dispatch

4. Quality Control & Documentation

  • Inspect assembled panels to ensure they meet design and manufacturing specifications

  • Maintain a tidy and safe workstation to prevent errors or hazards

  • Complete all required quality assurance documentation and logs

5. Troubleshooting & Collaboration

  • Diagnose and resolve issues during panel assembly or testing

  • Work closely with engineers and production teams to solve technical challenges

  • Suggest process improvements where applicable to enhance product quality and efficiency


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent

  • Experience: No prior work experience required – training will be provided

  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and components is beneficial

  • Willingness to learn and develop in a technical, hands-on environment


Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics (training provided)

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach

  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working while standing for long periods

  • Physically able to lift up to 25 kilograms


Working Conditions

  • Exposure to electrical tools and live wiring — PPE provided and required at all times

  • Occasional overtime may be necessary to meet production deadlines

  • Fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
