What You’ll Do with Media24 Electrician Job Opportunity

General Upkeep of Electrical Installations: Responsible for maintaining electrical systems, installations, and equipment in our facilities.

Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, record findings, and make corrections as needed to maintain optimal performance.

Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow strict safety performance protocols, lock-out procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Tools and Equipment Compliance: Perform regular inspections of tools and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Work Area Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workshop and working areas on floors.

3-Phase Control and Supply Maintenance: Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of 3-phase electrical controls and supply systems.

Fault-Finding and Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve faults in electrical reticulation and equipment.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and repairs on kitchen and office equipment as required.

General Building Maintenance: Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks within the offices and buildings, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Fixing or Changing Fixtures and Fittings: Handle any required repairs or changes to fixtures and fittings in the building.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work completed, providing monthly reports on tasks performed.

Stock and Equipment Management: Track and manage tools, stock, and equipment required for the job, ensuring budget compliance.

External Contractor Coordination: Notify the Property Manager when an external contractor is required for specialized work.

Collaboration with Contractors: Work closely with contractors who provide SLA services, ensuring work meets company standards.

Assisting with Ad-Hoc Requests: Support the Property Manager with any additional requests or tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience We Require:

Grade 12 or N3 Equivalent qualification.

Red Seal Certification and Three-Phase Electrical Tester qualification.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field.

Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and general building maintenance.

Health and Safety knowledge to ensure compliance with workplace standards.

Valid driver’s license is required.

Wireman’s License is a must-have to work in this role.
