Job Responsibilities for the Mintek 2025 Artisans Learnership Program
As an Instrumentation Technician, your key duties will include:
Installing, commissioning, and maintaining Mintek process measurement instruments following established procedures.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems using electrical circuit diagrams.
Ensuring compliance with Mintek safety standards and client SHEQ procedures.
Recommending improvements to work practices to enhance efficiency and safety.
Assisting supervisors with safety inspections and compliance checks.
Assembling, testing, and calibrating advanced process measurement instruments.
Troubleshooting technical issues with minimal supervision.
Collaborating with the development team to improve instrumentation technology.
Completing trip documentation and ensuring proper project administration.
Working cooperatively within a team-oriented environment to enhance productivity.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
National Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Completed apprenticeship or work-integrated learning in a relevant field.
Valid driver’s license (Code EB) – must be obtained within six months of appointment.
Experience in PCB board testing, setup, and troubleshooting.
Proven skills in assembly and onsite commissioning of online analysis equipment.
Experience with Mintek Cynoprobe and C2 Meter is highly advantageous (similar product experience will also be considered).
Ability to service and maintain online analysis equipment efficiently.
