As the Electrical Foreman, you will lead a team of electricians, ensuring efficient and safe electrical operations throughout the plant. You will collaborate with the production team and engineering departments to troubleshoot electrical issues, drive preventative and predictive maintenance, and support CAPEX initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual with strong leadership and technical expertise, preferably in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assume full electrical responsibility for factory operations across all production and maintenance periods.

Lead and manage a team of electricians, overseeing daily work allocation, performance management, and attendance.

Conduct regular inspections and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to reduce breakdowns.

Provide technical support for electrical projects, breakdown analysis (BDA), and root cause analysis (RCA).

Support CAPEX planning, energy efficiency initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Coordinate with Section Engineers and Technical Assistants on engineering-related tasks.

Oversee bulk power supply systems, HV/MV infrastructure, and maintain electrical distribution integrity.

Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives and maintain stock levels of spare parts.

Analyze plant performance data (MSA results, line efficiency, SAM reports) to identify and implement improvements.

Ensure adherence to hygienic engineering standards and safety compliance at all times.

Participate in daily and weekly production meetings and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve factory goals.
Minimum Requirements For The Nestlé Technical Assistant Electrical

Electrician Trade Test / Red Seal
-
N6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a National Diploma from a Technikon.

Minimum 5+ years’ electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role in manufacturing (preferably FMCG).

HV/MV certification (required).

Wireman’s license / Department of Labour installation registration.

Registration as a Master Installation Electrician is advantageous.

Electrical Foreman Certificate (advantageous).

Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, AMM, and Kronos systems.
