ITB, a leading flexible plastic packaging manufacturer and a proud member of the Novus Holdings Group, is offering an exciting 12-month Learnership Programme for unemployed candidates. This programme provides hands-on training, industry-relevant experience, and a National Certificate in Plastics Manufacturing, equipping participants with essential skills for a career in the manufacturing and packaging industry.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Novus 2025 Learnership Program

As a learnership candidate, you will:

  • Perform tasks according to your training level and development plan.
  • Attend all training sessions and complete coursework on time with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain a Portfolio of Evidence, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Work independently while demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Comply with all ITB Health & Safety regulations, Quality Policies, and Employment Conditions.
  • Engage in training reviews with mentors, HR representatives, and service providers to track progress.
  • Undertake additional duties based on programme requirements and company needs.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Completed Matric (Grade 12) with a pass in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and Science or Accounting.

Experience & Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this learnership opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Age Requirement: 18-30 years.
  • Employment Status: Must be currently unemployed.
  • Education: Must not be enrolled in any other institution.
  • Learnership Participation: Must not be registered in any other learnership programme.
  • Commitment: Willing to participate in training, assignments, and workplace assessments for 12 months.

  • Availability to work shifts and weekend overtime if required.
  • Ability to study at NQF Level 2 and meet the programme’s academic expectations.

Terms & Conditions

  • This learnership programme is strictly for unemployed candidates.
  • Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract).
  • Selected candidates must sign a Service Contract and a Learnership Agreement.
  • Upon completion, participants will receive a National Certificate in Plastics Manufacturing.
  • Permanent employment is NOT guaranteed after completing the programme.
  • All shortlisted candidates will undergo assessments as part of the selection process.
