 Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have one of the following:

  • N2 Certificate with:

    • Mathematics

    • Engineering Science

    • Plating Structural Steel Drawings

    • Platers Trade Theory
      OR

  • NCV Level 4: Engineering & Related Design, with:

    • Mathematics (minimum 40%)

    • Physical Science (minimum 40%)

    • Engineering Graphics and Design

    • Materials Technology

    • Engineering Practice & Maintenance

    • Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking)


 Additional Requirements:

  • Must be medically fit for work in a mining environment

  • Must have a clear security screening record

  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)

  • Prior experience in an engineering or mining environment is advantageous


 Key Responsibilities:

  • Development Programme: Complete all modules within the prescribed timeframe; raise any concerns or challenges as needed

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) protocols and legal standards

  • Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent progress reports, raise issues, and share feedback with stakeholders

  • Team Collaboration: Build effective working relationships and maintain open communication within the team and across departments

  • Cultural Participation: Actively support a values-based organizational culture aligned with segment-specific transformation goals

  • ESG Compliance: Commit to Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) standards in line with responsible mining principles, including:

    • World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (WGC RGMPs)

    • Together for Sustainability (eTfS)

    • ICCM Principles
