POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our engineering and facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled preventative maintenance across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for all guests and staff.
Your responsibilities will include executing routine maintenance procedures such as CARE, RPM, and GCPMprograms, flipping and inspecting mattresses and box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming hard-to-reach areas, spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery, and dusting all surfaces. You will perform touch-up painting, minor furniture repair, replace light bulbs and fixtures, inspect and repair tile grout and caulking, and confirm all in-room hardware and appliances are operational and compliant with hotel standards.
Additional duties include minor repairs like tightening loose toilet seats, patching drywall, and cleaning bathroom fixtures, walls, windows, and floors. You will be expected to promptly report any major maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual findings to the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including frequent bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. independently

Assist in moving heavier items exceeding 50 lbs.

Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods or the entire shift

Apply proper lifting and safety techniques at all times
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in facility, building, or hotel room maintenance

Skills: Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills

Attributes: Dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to follow procedures precisely

Licensing/Certification: Not required, but HVAC, electrical, or plumbing exposure is a plus
