Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC & Refrigeration Artisan to join our technical maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all environmental, electrical, and mechanical systems, including HVACR and humidity control equipment. This role involves executing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and optimum operational efficiency in line with SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) regulations and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HVACR, electrical, water, ventilation, and humidity reticulation systems

  • Carry out breakdown maintenance and respond promptly to equipment failure or downtime

  • Perform basic fault-finding and diagnostic tests on various equipment and systems

  • Supervise and mentor Artisan Assistants and Apprentices on site

  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure all HVAC and refrigeration work aligns with SHE standards and best practices

  • Execute assigned project tasks, ensuring completion according to technical and quality specifications

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the availability of tools and resources to perform tasks effectively

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and operational procedures, reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses

  • Uphold good housekeeping practices in the workshop and auxiliary areas

  • Perform standby and emergency call-out duties as required


Qualifications & Experience:

  • N6 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Trade Tested Artisan (Refrigeration Mechanic or HVAC Technician)

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in HVAC or Refrigeration maintenance and repair


Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles

  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Basic proficiency in computer literacy and digital reporting systems

  • Familiarity with HVAC industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Strong teamwork and training/mentorship capabilities
