About the Opportunity: SANSA offers an In-Service Training Programme for students seeking practical experience to complete their qualifications. This opportunity provides hands-on learning in electronics engineering, specifically in satellite ground station operations at the Hartebeesthoek site.
Key Learning Areas:

Operate, maintain, and monitor antenna systems, radio frequency (RF), and telecommunications systems.

Work with satellite ground station equipment, including satellite launch vehicles (SLVs), tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C), and in-orbit test (IOT) services.

Conduct preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance for SANSA-owned or customer-owned systems.

Participate in ad-hoc project tasks and support satellite operations.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate should have:

S4/S5 Electrical Engineering qualification with a focus on electronics or telecommunications and good academic results.

Seeking Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) or in-service training to complete the qualification.

Understanding of microwave principles and telecommunications applications.

Proficient communication skills in English.

Computer literacy and proficiency with the MS Office Suite.

Ability to use both hands and good vision.

Must have own transport or access to reliable transport, as the site is in a remote area with no public transport access.
Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Must be 35 years or younger at the time of application.

Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
