Key Responsibilities for the Sasol Electrical Artisan Job Opportunity
Operate and maintain basic electrical equipment and machinery while following strict, detailed work instructions.
Participate in shift handover meetings to ensure smooth workflow and operational continuity.
Provide adequate feedback to supervisors on work progress and report any maintenance issues.
Take part in root cause analysis (RCA) processes and provide valuable feedback for problem-solving.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain good housekeeping standards and adhere to proper waste disposal procedures.
Work independently while understanding business objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational targets.
Ensure workplace safety compliance, applying and maintaining best safety practices.
Identify personal training and development needs, incorporating them into a Personal Development Plan (PDP) with approval from group leaders.
Lead by example and conduct on-the-job coaching for new employees and learners.
Conduct IMS inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability.
Play a critical role during emergency situations, ensuring a quick and effective plant recovery process.
Provide stakeholder relationship management, engaging with various departments and teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science & English / N3 Certificate (Required)
Electrical Occupational Trade Certificate / Red Seal Certification (Required)
NQF4 Certificate in Electrical (Preferred)
NACE Level 1 Certification (Preferred)
Valid Driver’s License (Code 08 or higher) (Required)
Work Experience:
Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and operations.
2+ years of experience in Cathodic Protection (Preferred).
