Sasol, in proud partnership with Plant Design and Project Services (PDPS), invites unemployed youth to apply for the 2025 Welding Apprenticeship Programme. This structured training opportunity is designed to empower South African youth with valuable technical skills, particularly in the welding trade. Successful candidates will benefit from comprehensive training aligned with industry standards, setting the foundation for a career in the engineering and construction sectors.
This exciting opportunity is specifically targeted at passionate and self-driven individuals residing in the Govan Mbeki, Lekwa, and Dipaleseng Municipalities. The programme aims to equip young talent with in-demand welding skills and practical work experience. Please note: Applicants who are currently enrolled in any other training programme are not eligible to apply.
Minimum Entry Requirements (Choose one of the following paths):
Option 1: Academic Matric + N3 Qualification

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

English

Engineering Mathematics (N3)

Engineering Science (N3)
-
Trade-Related Theory subject (N3) – Welding/Platers Theory is advantageous
Option 2: NCV Level 4 / Grade 12 Equivalent

English NCV Level 4 or First Additional Language NCV Level 4

Pure Mathematics Level 4 (Not Mathematical Literacy)

Engineering Science Level 4

Mandatory Trade-Related Subject: Welding/Platers Theory
