Role Overview

Scania is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform high-quality repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles. Key Responsibilities For The Scania Group Entry Level Technician

Pre-Maintenance & Repair Preparation: Ensure the availability of the right tools, spare parts, and technical information before starting work.

 

Maintenance & Repairs: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of heavy-duty vehicles using industry-standard methods.

 

Post-Service & Documentation: Minimize lead times by accurately documenting completed work and communicating further service needs if necessary.

 

Safety & Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental (SHE) regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

 

Customer Satisfaction: Deliver high-quality service to improve customer experience and retain long-term business relationships.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Matric Certificate / N3 or equivalent.

 

Qualified Diesel Technician with a recognized Trade Test Certificate.

 

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance (Non-Negotiable).

 

Prior workshop experience handling heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.

 

Required Competencies (To Be Tested in the Interview):

Expertise in Scania Products & Services – Understanding of truck components and vehicle systems.

 

Repair & Maintenance Skills – Ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and related systems.

 

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance – Strong knowledge of industry safety protocols.

 

IT Proficiency – Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and software.

 

Customer Focus & Teamwork – Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
