Under the guidance of skilled operators and experienced miners, you will gain the practical knowledge and technical skills required to contribute effectively to coal production operations.
Key Responsibilities For the Sereti Community Learnership Programme

Learn to operate underground mining machinery safely and effectively in a production section.

Assist with housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with operational standards.

Participate in daily production duties under the supervision of experienced personnel.

Identify and report equipment faults independently after relevant training.

Attend all required training modules and safety briefings related to machinery operation.

Follow strict safety protocols, procedures, and environmental guidelines at all times.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 10 with Mathematics, Science, and English.

Demonstrated willingness and physical ability to operate mining machinery.

High level of safety awareness and discipline.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Willingness to undergo and pass a practical driving assessment.

Willingness to complete a behavioral assessment.

Comfortable working at heights and around large machinery.
-
Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a high-pressure production environment.

In possession of or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.
Advantageous Qualifications

Previous experience in a mining or heavy machinery environment.

A valid K53 driver’s license.
