Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirement:

National N2 Certificate or Technical Grade 12 Certificate

Recognized Trade Certificate in Electrical (from MQA-accredited training)

Completion of a formal learnership programme prior to certification

Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a winding plant environment
-
Proven expertise with Siemens, ABB, and Alstom winder control systems
-
Knowledge of Conveyance Monitoring Systems and hydraulic systems
-
Competency in reading hydraulic schematics and understanding system functions
-
Background in process control and instrumentation
-

Medically fit for duty in mining environments

Clear security screening

Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance, Installation & Construction:
-
Adhere to scheduled maintenance and third-party inspections
-
Conduct fault-finding on electrical and control circuits
-
Ensure functionality of control logic against technical drawings
-
Replace components with OEM-approved parts
-
Apply MHSA regulations and SHEQ standards in all tasks
Administration:
-
Complete job-related documentation accurately and on time
-
Adhere to internal document control policies and procedures
-
Manage and store technical data and maintenance records
Team Development & Coaching:
-
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior staff
-
Identify training needs and nominate team members for development
-
Ensure all team members are qualified and competent for assigned duties

Foster a positive team culture and maintain morale

Allocate tasks effectively based on skills and operational requirements
