Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
To be considered for the Electrician position, applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

Grade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2 qualification.

Completed Trade Test – Certified Competency as an Electrician.

Qualified Electrician Trade Certificate from a recognized institution.
-
A minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in the electrical trade. (This experience can be concurrent with PDL trade experience.)

If holding a QCTO (Section 26D) Trade Test, applicants must submit the following documents:

Statement of results issued by an accredited MQA trade test center.

Evidence of training at a technical training center (e.g., Portfolio of Evidence, Logbooks). These documents must be submitted for consideration.

Applicants holding S28 Trade Test certificates from non-mining sector centers will not be considered.

Medically fit to work in the specific business area.

A clear security screening record is required.

The successful candidate will be required to do standby and overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities of the Sibanye-Stillwater Electrical Artisan:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment to achieve optimal production performance levels. Key responsibilities include:

Maintenance Tasks: Ensuring effective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, focusing on minimizing downtime and production losses.

Safety and Risk Assessments: Conducting and participating in safety meetings and risk assessments to promote a culture of safety and compliance with regulations.

Team Leadership: Allocating tasks to subordinates and ensuring proper and adequate on-the-job training and coaching to enhance skills and improve team performance.

Breakdowns and Emergencies: Attending to breakdowns and emergency situations promptly to ensure continued safe operations.

Inventory and Equipment Management: Ensuring that materials, spares, and equipment are available and in good working condition as required for maintenance tasks.

Environmental Compliance: Complying with environmental requirements and ensuring that maintenance tasks are carried out with minimal environmental impact.

Documentation and Reporting: Completing job cards and work descriptions, recording all maintenance tasks, spare parts used, and results of legal examinations as required by company standards.

High-Quality Work Standards: Maintaining a high level of workmanship, ensuring tasks are performed to required specifications and standards using appropriate tools and equipment.
