Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Tier 1 Systems Engineer (Learner), you’ll serve as the frontline of our IT support operations. You will:

• Deliver first-line technical support for user devices, business applications, and networking issues.

• Perform system administration tasks such as user setup, software installations, and system configuration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve common IT support tickets with efficiency and professionalism.

• Work closely with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers to escalate and resolve complex issues.

• Proactively monitor client systems to ensure uptime and mitigate risks.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of client support interactions and technical solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 1–2 years of experience in an IT support environment.

• Solid understanding of Windows Server and desktop OS.

• Basic exposure to virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.

• Familiar with Active Directory, Group Policies, and domain controller environments.

• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.

• Understanding of basic IT security practices.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to prioritize, adapt under pressure, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)

• Valid South African driver’s license (essential for site visits)
