Main Responsibilities For The Technical Assistant Job at Mediclinic
Perform essential technical maintenance tasks on hospital buildings and equipment.
Identify, assess, and control technical risks in the hospital environment.
Coordinate contractors for on-site work and ensure quality standards.
Handle administrative duties within the Technical Department.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relations and deliver excellent client service.
Required Education and Qualifications:
Essential: Grade 10 or an equivalent technical vocational qualification.
Desired: Grade 12, Code B driver’s licence, Basic Technical Assistant Training (Mediclinic or other related technical training).
Experience Requirements:
Essential: Minimum 2 years of general building maintenance experience.
Desired: At least 1 year of experience in general building maintenance.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Solid experience in general building maintenance and fault finding/analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong teamwork abilities and experience in report writing.
Drivers licence required for site travel.
