Position Outputs and Responsibilities For The Transnet Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
As a WIL intern, you will actively contribute to various work-streams and departments, gaining exposure to different functions within procurement. Key responsibilities include:
Shadowing staff members and participating in learning experiences to develop practical skills.
Attending meetings and workshops to expand your understanding of business operations.
Communicating effectively with customers to understand their needs, prioritize requirements, and provide regular progress updates.
Serving as the primary contact for supplier and end-user inquiries, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Supporting general administrative tasks, research, and other duties as required.
Receiving work briefs from your mentor or specialist to structure tasks for specific projects or deliverables.
Preparing clear and concise reports using MS Word and PowerPoint to communicate project progress and results.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
University of Technology students (S4/S5 level) who have completed all theoretical subjects in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or Physical Metallurgy.
Must be a South African citizen.
No existing bursary obligations.
A valid Work Integrated Learning confirmation letter from your institution (most recent).
Proof of academic qualifications, including an academic record, certified Matric Certificate, and ID copy.
