Are you looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and technical training in a world-class industrial environment? Tronox KZN Sands is offering Apprenticeship and Learnership opportunities at our Empangeni and Mtunzini operations in KwaZulu-Natal.
These three-year apprenticeships are designed to help you develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience to build a successful career in engineering and trade-related fields.
Available Apprenticeship Opportunities
We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated individuals to join our intensive Learnership Development Programme in the following disciplines:
Electrician (x3 positions)
Instrument Mechanician (x2 positions)
Fitter (x3 positions)
Boilermaker (x1 position)
Millwright (x5 positions)
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for these apprenticeships, applicants must meet the following requirements:
South African citizenship (compulsory)
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (compulsory)
Valid driver’s license (compulsory)
N3 Certificate with the following subjects:
Mathematics
Engineering Science
Two trade-related theory subjects based on the chosen discipline
Required Documents for Application
Applicants must submit the following certified supporting documents (not older than three months):
Updated CV
Certified copy of Identity Document (ID)
Certified copy of a valid Driver’s License (if applicable)
Certified copy of Grade 12 Certificate
Proof of Residence (Tribal Council letter required for applicants from designated areas)
Preference Given to Local Applicants
Preference will be given to candidates from the following Tribal Councils and Municipalities:

Kwa Dube Area (Inkosi Dube)
Kwa Nzunza Area (Inkosi Nzunza)
Kwa Mkhwanazi (Inkosi Mkhwanazi)
Ogagwini (Inkosi Zulu)
Somopho (Inkosi Mthembu)
Macambini (Inkosi Mathaba)
Madlebe (Inkosi Zungu)
Municipalities:
Umhlathuze Municipality
Umlalazi Municipality
Mandeni Municipality
