Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair work on Volvo products, ensuring labor hours are efficiently completed in alignment with our company’s quality and performance standards.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Team Leader.
Key Job Objectives:

Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on Volvo Products by analyzing performance issues or failures. Utilize Volvo manuals and service literature for accurate diagnosis and repair. -
Repair & Maintenance:
Execute maintenance and repair tasks following the guidelines in Volvo Workshop Manuals. Adhere to Volvo standards for quality and efficiency. -
Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure outstanding customer service by adhering to repair and maintenance instructions. Provide detailed, clear reports on diagnosis, assessment, component failures, actions taken, and recommendations. -
Breakdown Work Procedure:
Follow established protocols for breakdown response, including liaising with drivers, completing necessary documentation, and submitting it accurately. -
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and safety standards at all times.
Who Are You?
Qualifications & Experience for the Volvo Group Diesel Technician Job Opportunity

Matric/N3 or equivalent qualification.

Trade Test Certificate – Qualified Diesel Mechanic.

Minimum 3 years of dealership experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy commercial vehicles.
Key Competencies:

Strong ability to interpret and utilize technical manuals, specifications, and measuring equipment.

Extensive knowledge and practical experience in performing accurate and efficient repair work.

Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software tools.
