Key Responsibilities for the Weir Group Technician Assistant

Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and housekeeping standards at all times

Follow the Duty of Care Policy to maintain a safe work environment

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and premises to identify faults or hazards

Assist with general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry

Support the setup and breakdown of events and workspaces
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance areas

Operate tools and equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and mobile elevated working platforms (MEWPs)

Demonstrate 100% commitment to Weir’s Zero Harm safety culture
Education, Knowledge & Skills
-
Technical qualification (e.g., N3 in Mechanical or Electrical fields)

Experience or certification in operating cranes, forklifts, or MEWPs is advantageous

Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and facility systems

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to follow safety procedures and work collaboratively in a team
