Homechoice TVET Work Integrated Learning Programme
South Africa’s growing digital economy has created strong demand for skilled IT support professionals across retail, finance, telecommunications and technology industries. While completing an N6 qualification provides students with the theoretical foundation needed for a technical career, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is the final step required to obtain a National Diploma. WIL programmes allow students to apply classroom knowledge in real workplace environments while developing practical skills that employers value.
HomeChoice is inviting applications for its TVET Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026. This 18-month IT Technical Support Internship is designed for TVET graduates who have completed their N6 National Certificate and require practical workplace experience to obtain their National Diploma. Successful candidates will join HomeChoice’s IT team at its Head Office in Cape Town, gaining hands-on experience within one of South Africa’s leading omnichannel retailers.

For IT support internships, don’t focus only on your qualification. If you’ve built computers, repaired laptops, installed Windows, configured networks or helped friends and family troubleshoot technical issues, include that experience on your CV. Recruiters want to see genuine interest in technology and evidence that you enjoy solving technical problems.
