Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric) or N3 Certificate

Recognized Welder Trade Test Certificate
Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ apprenticeship training in a welding/fabrication environment

Prior experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, or industrial plant will be an advantage
Skills and Competencies

Proficient in arc, MIG, and TIG welding techniques

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols

Good communication skills

Basic computer literacy

Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and plant safety regulations

Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Internal safety and job-specific training will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative and corrective welding and fabrication tasks as per plant maintenance schedules

Ensure all welding tasks are performed to specification and within quality standards

Participate in toolbox talks, team meetings, and ongoing skills development

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with health and safety policies

Take full responsibility for personal safety and the integrity of all completed work
